Hmip-wth2 thermostat on ccu3 without pairing

Hello.

Apologies but I'm very new to the homematic ecosystem.

I have wth-2 wall thermostat paired with ccu3 and I would like to create programs based on the thermostat state. The issue is as soon as I create program where I check for any value from thermostat, (temperature or setpoint) the thermostat starts blinking yellow couple of times and then blinks red and program is not executed after changing setpoint with the wheel. My understanding is that the reciever did not complete the execution. This is not happening when the thermostat is paired with a radiator valve in the heating group.

It is possible to use the thermostat and run scripts when the temperature changes without pairing it with the valve ? Like turn on the light if the temperature is above setpoint etc.

Thank you for your help.

Of course, HM (HmIP) thermostats do not need to be paired only with radiator actuators, but with any actuator such as sockets, etc. Also preferably via direct links.

You can also of course create programs that can do some actions based on the corresponding thermostat channel.

The new thermostats can also control the home air conditioning for example.
